The TTH (Tactical Transport Helicopter) is the transport version of the NH90.

NH90 has been sized and conceived to be able to operate from any type of prepared or unprepared surfaces and to satisfy already in its basic design the entire specific feature requested by tactical transport requirements.

Among others:, EMI/EMC qualification, intrinsic capability to take off and land by day and night in extreme adverse weather conditions, performing NOE (Nap of the Earth) flight, beyond the FEBA (Forward Edge of the Battle Area), together with high availability, low maintenance effort required and flight line maintenance up to the 3rd level.

The TTH is expressively designed to perform the following main missions:

  • tactical transport of up to 20 equipped troops or
  • transport of a light tactical vehicle
  • cargo transport up to 2500 kg.

The NFH (NATO Frigate Helicopter) is the naval version of the NH90.

NH90 has been sized and conceived to be able to operate from frigates and to satisfy already in its basic design the entire specific feature requested by naval requirements. Among others: total corrosion protection, Naval Mil-Std requirements, EMI/EMC qualification, intrinsic capability to take off and landing on ship deck up to sea state 5, together with high availability, low maintenance effort required and on-the-ship maintenance capability.

The NFH is expressively designed to perform the following main naval missions:

  • ASW mission: detecting, classifying, identifying by type, tracking and weapon launching, leading to the destruction of the submarine.
  • ASUW mission: detecting, tracking, classifying, identifying by type enemy surface units, tracking and weapon launching, leading to the destruction of the ship. Complete OTHT capability is also provided.
  • SAR mission: detecting, classifying distressed vessels, survival rafts and/or rescues.
