EADS Juniors Programme

The perfect combination of theory and practice

With the Juniors Programme, EADS aims at enhancing personal skills and abilities of its former trainees, while increasing their enthusiasm for building a career within the organisation.

The programme encourages a philosophy based on teamwork, internationality and networking. Working on complex projects with experienced colleagues as trainers ensures a balance of theoretical and practical knowledge that conventional courses cannot provide.

The Juniors Selection Process

Students who want to become a Junior have to perform an outstanding job during their internship at EADS. Internship coordinators and mentors will discuss the possibility of joining the programme and help candidates with their nomination. The ERC department will then inform candidates of their status.

The criteria are the following:

  • Maintained a good performance during the internship within EADS
  • Have an international background
  • Fluent in English
  • Have good references and results in your studies
  • Showed enthusiasm, dynamism and curiosity.

Participation in workshops & Events

Juniors are invited to participate in workshops and special events. The first event is an annual workshop on the island of Juist in the North Sea. For one week, the students work on a team project involving technical knowledge as well as developing group and individual soft skills. The teams compete for a virtual contract as they would do in a real-life situation. They go through all the regular stages, such as forming teams, and product development, production, testing and presentation.

The second major event of the year is participation in one of the two major European air shows: either Le Bourget in Paris or ILA in Berlin. The two events are ideal occasions for the Juniors to bring themselves up to date with EADS’ latest technical developments, to meet EADS recruiters and to stay in touch with each other.
