EADS N.V. - Constitution of the Supervisory Board of Premium AEROTEC

The constituent meeting of the Supervisory Board of Premium AEROTEC GmbH took place in Augsburg today. According to German Co-determination Law, the Supervisory Board of Premium AEROTEC GmbH consists of twelve members, of whom six are elected by the shareholders and six are representatives of the employees. Dr Gerald Weber was elected as Chairman of the Board, and Jürgen Kerner as Vice Chairman.

The core functions of the Supervisory Board include the control and monitoring of executive management, appointments to the Board of Management and the approval of the Operative Planning and important corporate decisions.

During its first meeting, the Supervisory Board formally appointed the Head of Human Resources of Premium AEROTEC GmbH, Dr Wolfram Sauer, as the Director of Labor Relations.

The new Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Dr Gerald Weber (59), is a member of the Executive Committee of Airbus S.A.S., Toulouse, as the Executive Vice President Operations, and he is the Chairman of the Board of Management of Airbus Deutschland GmbH, Hamburg. The Vice Chairman Jürgen Kerner (40) is the Principal Authorized Representative of the IG Metall Augsburg.

Premium AEROTEC has more than 6,000 employees and expects to generate revenues of about one billion Euros for 2009. Premium AEROTEC’s core business is the development and manufacturing of metal and carbon composite aerostructures and the corresponding production systems. The company has plants in Augsburg, Nordenham and Varel and is part of the EADS Group.
