Prepared for the future in Police Air Support Devon & Cornwall Police takes delivery of a new EC145 helicopter

Oxford - On Friday 5th March the Devon & Cornwall Police took delivery of a new EC145 helicopter. This most modern machine was customised at Eurocopter UK in Oxford to meet the demanding needs of the modern police service. It is equipped with the latest aids to police reconnaissance and airborne crime fighting. Included is a state-of-the-art Infra Red camera, sophisticated video viewing and recording equipment, and night vision goggles which enable the crew to see at night almost as well as in the day.

Hyderabad - EUROCOPTER, the world’s leading helicopter manufacturer and Pawan Hans Helicopters, the largest civil helicopter operator in India, today signed a contract for seven new Dauphin AS 365 N3 helicopters. Mrs. Marie-Agnes Veve, Head of Eurocopter activities in India and Mr. Rainer Farid, VP Sales South Asia, Eurocopter presented a memento to Mr. R.K. Tyagi, Chairman & Managing Director, Pawan Hans commemorating the occasion in the presence of the Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Paful Patel and the French Ambassador, his Excellency Mr. J. Bonnafont as well as the French official delegation.

Eurocopter and Pawan Hans to set up joint-ventures for MRO and Training

The system, which has been extensively tested during forest fires on the island of Corsica (France), is one of the most effective and powerful helicopter-borne fire-fighting systems available in the market. Eurocopter enhances Cabin Comfort for a smoother Ride

Houston - Eurocopter’s R&D teams are working on several programs to enhance cabin comfort providing customers with a smoother ride. Five-blade main rotors as on the EC155 and EC225 have led to a significant reduction of vibrations. Advanced rotor systems such as a piezo active rotor, designated Blue Pulse™ and currently under development, are designed to minimize vibrations further. However, advanced anti-vibration systems applicable to present-day helicopters are another, pro-active approach to reducing vibrations. Having all aspects of customer comfort in mind, Eurocopter also develops new air conditioning systems to cope with all aspects of cabin temperature.

Canada’s VIH Aviation Group orders two Eurocopter EC225 Helicopters for Offshore Oil and Gas Transportation in Australia

Houston - The VIH Aviation Group of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada today announced the purchase of two new Eurocopter EC225 long-range heavy helicopters. The new twin-turbine helicopters will support its expansions plans in the Australian offshore oil and gas sector and be flown by HNZ Cougar Helicopters Pty. Ltd., a new joint venture.

Eurocopter’s Super Puma/Cougar/EC225 Family marks 4 Million Flight Hours

Marignane - Eurocopter’s heavy-duty family of helicopters, the AS332 Super Puma/AS532 Cougar and their latest-generation derivatives, the EC225/EC725, have accumulated a total of four million flight hours in service. To date, 740 civil and military variants of this product family are in service with customers around the world, mostly serving in offshore oil and gas services in the harsh conditions of the North Sea, SAR (Search and Rescue) and VIP transport, as well as demanding military missions such as Combat SAR and troop transport in hostile environments.

Eurocopter and Spanish Ministry of the Interior Sign Contract for 12 EC135s to Be Assembled in Albacete

Albacete - Eurocopter and the Spanish Ministry of the Interior have signed a contract for the purchase of twelve EC135 P2i helicopters. Spain's National Police Force will operate six of the new aircraft for law enforcement missions, while the remaining six will join the current fleet of the Spanish Guardia Civil. One of this latter group of helicopters will be configured for mountain rescue missions.

Eurocopter soars to greater heights in Asia

Singapore - Eurocopter, the world’s leading helicopter manufacturer, today announced that in 2009, it recorded a turnover growth of 58 per cent in Asia to reach €896 million. The business also maintained a stable booking value over the last few years in Asia to achieve €504 million in 2009. The most popular helicopters of Eurocopter’s range are on display at the Singapore Airshow – the EC120, EC130, EC135, AS 350 B3, NH90 TTH and the EC725.

Eurocopter meets 2009 Turnover and Delivery Objectives - Civil Orders decrease while military Orders increase

Paris - Eurocopter, the world’s leading helicopter manufacturer, met its business and delivery objectives for 2009 and stabilised its turnover at the level of its record year, 2008. The world economic crisis caused a sharp order decline in the civil market for light helicopters. However, governmental orders have over-compensated in value the drop in commercial unit sales, leading to the second-best result of order intakes in Eurocopter’s history. In line with Eurocopter’s roadmap, the Support and Services business was also strengthened with the signature of a number of significant contracts.

Helibras will upgrade 34 Eurocopter helicopters for the Brazilian Army

Marignane - Helicópteros do Brasil S.A.-Helibras, Eurocopter subsidiary in Brazil, signed on the 24th of December 2009 a contract to upgrade 34 AS365K Panther helicopters of the Brazilian Army Aviation. This is the largest service contract signed by the Brazilian subsidiary in more than 30 years of presence in the country. This Programme will lead to a new generation of Panther helicopters that benefit from the last technical evolutions developed by Eurocopter.

Eurocopter delivers two EC145 to Helicopteros Marinos for Offshore Missions

Donauwörth - Eurocopter has completed the delivery of two EC145s to Helicopteros Marinos, an Argentinean offshore operator that serves the oil and gas industry in the southernmost area of Argentina. The company is the third offshore operator in Latin America to have selected the EC145. These aircraft are scheduled to go into service in January 2010.
