On 19 September 2005 at Shenzen, Eurocopter officially handed over the keys of an EC155 B1 helicopter to Mr. Li Jian Yi, who heads CITIC Offshore Helicopter Corporation Ltd.

This helicopter is the first EC155 B1 to be introduced in China. COHC is due to receive a second machine in mid-October of this year.
The helicopters will be used to support the offshore platform in the China Sea.
This multi-purpose helicopter is also ideal for law enforcement missions.
It was acquired by the Government Flying Service in Hong Kong's Special Administrative Region, where it has been in service for the last three years.
The German Border Guard (Bundesgrenzschutz) also selected the helicopter for its Police Helicopter Squadron based in Baden-Württemberg.
