International Award presented to EADS EFW Air Transport World awards a prize to EFW's advertisement

For the second year in a row, the prestigious Air Transport World (ATW) magazine presented EADS EFW (Elbe Flugzeugwerke GmbH) with its prized "Gold AdAward" in the category "Engine/Airframe/Conversion" in Singapore on Monday evening, February 25.

The accolade refers to EFW's advertisement "For the best customers in the world, only the best cargo planes in the world will do" that has been published in the global air transport press in the last year. At the Singapore presentation ceremony, the ATW jury paid tribute to the excellence of EFW's worldwide presentation with this ad: "At first we were curious why all those airline tails were in the same ad. It was the different brands in the ad that made you want read more. This was another clear and uncomplicated advertisement. In the airline industry we always like endorsements of airlines that have experience with a company. The headline gives us that comfort, alluding to the tails in the graphic as satisfied customers. This copy also does a good job of playing the Airbus synergy."
EADS EFW in Dresden is the core centre for Airbus passenger to freighter conversions within EADS. All conversions performed at EFW's facility consist of a 100 % OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) solution and uses a maximum number of common parts from the corresponding Airbus freighter production, which gives the operator all the reliability and safety of a serial production aircraft.
