The EADS Board of Directors has appointed Anne-Marie Perus (51) from 1 January 2006 as head of EADS Sogerma Services, a subsidiary specialised in maintenance, aircraft and cabin customisation and aerostructures within the group. She succeeds Michel Freuchet who is appointed Chief of the Business Line Launcher at EADS SPACE Transportation from the same day.
As head of EADS Sogerma Services, Anne-Marie Perus’ main task will be to continue the recovery and re-organisation of the company, a task Michel Freuchet and his team has started in 2005.
The EADS CEOs Tom Enders and Noël Forgeard said: "Sogerma clearly is in troubled waters. Subject to prompt return to profitability, it can play its role in the development of the group's service activities as well as in its international partnership strategy. This requires strong leadership, which Anne-Marie Perus will provide, as well as assistance from the EADS group."
Gustav Humbert, the member of the EADS Executive Committee in charge of EADS Sogerma Services, declared: "I am confident in the potential of EADS Sogerma Services and I am convinced that Anne-Marie Perus will take on this challenge."
Anne-Marie Perus graduated from Sup’Aéro, has been CEO of Alkan, subsidiary of MBDA since 1996. She had previously occupied several high ranking managing positions within Matra Defense and then Matra BAe Dynamics.
