The CASA C-212 is the answer to the needs of different Air Forces in the field of light military transport for an aircraft which can operate in areas lacking in infrastructure and on unpaved runways. Designed with high-wing configuration and fixed landing gear, it is fitted with turbo-prop engines. Its spacious section cabin is perfectly complemented by the rear ramp which enables varied transport tasks to be carried out (cargo capacity: 3,000 kg, or 25 paratroopers, or 12 stretchers and 4 attendants, combat aircraft engines, helicopter blades, etc.). The C-212 is an excellent platform for developing and integrating a wide variety of versions such as the Maritime Patrol (Patrullero), Electronic Warfare (ESM/ECM and ELINT/COMINT), Navigation School, Aerial Survey, Pollution Control, etc. It combines the advantages of new technology with the experience gained from more than 2.5 million flight hours logged by more than 460 CASA C-212 aircraft sold to 89 operators of 38 countries.
