I want to become an astronaut or test pilot

I want to become an astronaut. Does EADS train astronauts?

No, EADS is not responsible for training astronauts. The company doesn’t take part in selecting astronauts or training them.

The Group only manufactures space systems and trains astronauts on the scientific systems and instruments developed and manufactured by EADS or its subsidiaries.

If you are interested in further information on training for astronauts, contact one of the space agencies listed here. In general, an applicant has to be a citizen of the country that is carrying out the space programme. Apart from good physical condition, a scientific training is the second basic requirement. Applicants without a degree in science are not in demand.
