The floor beams for all Airbus models – including the A380 – are supplied by Augsburg. The individual components are cut on site and then fully pre-assembled with seat rail mountings and holders for the electronic and hydraulic units. Approx. 12,000 such crossbeams leave the plant every year. The site manufactures all flap tracks for the large Airbus models and the A380 as well as the inner flap tracks for the small Airbus programmes. Around 1,400 of these parts are produced here annually. Augsburg is responsible for the keel beam for all small Airbus models. This is a structure-supporting component located in the middle of the fuselage between the landing-gear bays. At its Lechfeld facility, the site produces part of the wing for the A380 programme, the inboard fixed leading edge, which because of its shape is known as the bathtub. This is transported by the Beluga freighter to the Airbus final assembly line in Toulouse.

Within the A400M programme, the Augsburg plant is responsible for assembling the rear fuselage shells and the cargo door. In addition, Augsburg is tasked with developing and manufacturing all piping systems for the centre and rear fuselage as well as the supply and extraction pipes for the environmental control system, pipes for the hydraulic, pneumatic and fuel supply systems and also for the fuel redistribution system on the tanker version. The production also includes systems for oxygen production and fuel tank inertion.
