Eurocopter erreicht Umsatz- und Auslieferungsziele für 2009 - Rückgang beim zivilen Auftragseingang, dafür mehr militärische Aufträge

Paris - Eurocopter, der weltweit führende Hubschrauberhersteller, hat seine Geschäfts- und Auslieferungsziele für 2009 erreicht und seinen Gesamtumsatz auf dem Stand des Rekordjahres 2008 stabilisiert. Die weltweite Wirtschaftskrise verursachte einen empfindlichen Auftragsrückgang am Markt für leichte Zivilhubschrauber. Demgegenüber glichen Regierungsaufträge den Rückgang beim Verkauf ziviler Einheiten wertmäßig mehr als aus und führten bei den Auftragseingängen zum zweitbesten Ergebnis in Eurocopters Unternehmensgeschichte. Im Einklang mit der Strategie von Eurocopter wurde durch eine Reihe wichtiger Vertragsabschlüsse auch das Support- und Service-Geschäft gestärkt.

MBDA To Make More Extensive Use Of Composite Materials In Missiles

MBDA has launched the CRISTAL project which aims to further extend the maturity level of the composite material moulding technology from the Carbone Forgé company, as required in order to be able to use it in aeronautical and defence applications. The patented technology should allow automated production of complex shapes to be achieved, using long-fibre and high-performance materials. The objective is to reduce the cost of these parts by 40%, compared to the conventional composite technologies of the layup + autoclave type, and to cover applications in which most of the parts are still made of metal.

Marignane - Helicópteros do Brasil S.A.-Helibras, die brasilianische Eurocopter-Tochter, unterzeichnete am 24. Dezember 2009 einen Vertrag über die Nachrüstung von 34 Panther AS365K-Hubschraubern der Brazilian Army Aviation (Luftfahrtkommando der brasilianischen Landstreitkräfte). Es handelt sich hierbei um den umfangreichsten Service-Vertrag, den die brasilianische Tochtergesellschaft während ihrer über 30-jährigen Präsenz in dem Land abgeschlossen hat. Das Programm führt zur Entwicklung einer neuen Generation von Panther-Hubschraubern, bei der die neuesten technischen Weiterentwicklungen von Eurocopter genutzt werden.
